- In the beginning of the movie, camera rolls over the statue of King Hamlet out side the Elsinore castle. The movie ends with the similar sequence wherein the statue of the King Hamlet is hammered down to the dust. What sort of symbolism do you read in this? (Clue: In Book IX of 'Paradise Lost', Satan reflects on his revenge motive: "But what will not ambition and revenge; Descend to? Who aspires must down as low; As high he soared, obnoxious, first or last, To basest things. Revenge, at first though sweet, Bitter ere long back on itself recoils." Is it not King Hamlet's ambition to avenge his death responsible for the downfall of his kingdom which is symbolically pictured in last scenes?)

Respected sir,
1) I would like to say that this original play is very much faithful to this movie. Some changes like the clothings of the characters are seeming more charming than the original play time. Movie differs li'le at the end than original play.
2) After watching the movie my perception changed in some extent. Visual perception affects better rather than reading play in text format.
3) One can feel aesthetic delight in many scenes like, when the hero’s interaction with his father ghost, in last scene the hero takes his revenge and when hero wants to kill Claudius.
4) Yes, I feel ‘catharsis’ at the tragic end of the play when most characters of the movie are finish in misery and unhappiness.
5) Yes, screening of the movie is very helpful to understanding the play in better way. Screening gives proper hints and imaginations to understand the play in the correct way. Visulization of the play much better than reading and also helpful for upcoming tests.
6) I would like to cherish the scene for the life time is the dialogues between hemlet and his friend Horatio which showing deep importance of friendship and an example of making secrifice for the relationship.
7) As a director of the movie Hemlet, I would like to change as happy ending of the movie and will try to see live hero and heroin as king and queen with his well wisher Horatio.
8) It symbolizes that nothing is immortal in the world. At the beginning the statue is whole suggests the state is also at its height. And at the end nothing remains live in hero's family so it is broken down at the end. So its symbolize life and death cycle of the nature.
9) However we can't approach shakespearean era play with present properly but in some extent I can say that the play contains psycho -philosophical (mixed) approach. Some characters of the play showing their psychic disorder type behavior with philosophical aspects.
10) Philosophical approach straightly shows the condition of Hamlet’s mind while behaviors of play's characters enlightening some kind of psychological (positive and negative) approach too.
