About The Author:
Mary
Shelley was born during the 18th century Enlightenment. Her father
was William Godwin, a political philosopher and her mother was famous writer,
Mary Wollstonecraft. Shelley’s main influence was her father, William. The book
Frankenstein was affected during a summer near Geneva, Switzerland which became
the main area for the book.
The novel “Frankenstein”:
Victor
Frankenstein is the main character in this novel, and he is seen as being the protagonist
of the story. Victor is the owner and the creator of the soon to be antagonist,
the Monster. Victor was born and raised in Geneva Switzerland and by his
father, Allophones Frankenstein and his mother Caroline beau fort.
The monster
was created by Victor Frankenstein. Hated by his own creator and the society,
he fled and hid many years in caves and other shelters. Through those years he
became highly educated and hateful harshly due to his appearance. This resulted
to the deaths of Victor loved ones.

Overview:
Frankenstein
takes place in the 1790s where Robert Walton is on a ship in the north pole in
which his boat gets stuck. There he meets Victor Frankenstein who came to the
ship on a dog sled and tells Walton why he was in the middle of the north pole.
He says that he was disgusted with what happened. So, he ran away from it so
that he would not be blamed for what he had done. The monster went looking for
him and had a few encounters with some humans. He then realized that he was
different so he vowed revenge on his creator. The monster killed Frankenstein’s
younger brother to get back at him and this made him very angry with the monster.
Victor goes back to Geneva to be with his family and there be encounters the monster
and be tells Victor that he someone to relate to him. Victor agrees for the
safety of his family and once he is building it he stops because he thinks of
what harm this can bring. The monster then swears revenge upon him and Victor
ends up losing more family and friends. After the monster promises revenge
Victor ends up in the north pole. He tells his story, but later dies. A few
days after, the monster feels guilt and goes to see Victor. He finds out that
Victor id dead and tells Walton he is going to kill himself because there is no
point in living if his creator is dead and nobody can accept him.
